👋🏿 This is a hand-forged iron hand-crafted Wolf rune pendant.
The Wolf rune consists of four runes: Wunjo, Othala, Laguz, Fehu which spell the word "WOLF". Pendant size is about 1.7" inches (40 mm) by 1.2" inch (30 mm). The pendant comes on a black waxed cotton cord necklace.
Wolves
Wolves feature prominently in Celtic (especially Irish) mythology as well as other world mythologies. The Wolf or Madadh-alluidh symbolized cunning, an intelligent creature, capable of out-thinking hunters. It can teach you how to read the signs of Nature in everything, how to pass by danger invisibly, how to outwit those who wish you harm, and how to fight when needed.
Runes
Runes are a Norse alphabet developed around 200 BCE, from characters used for magical purposes. According to Norse myth, the alphabet was discovered in a vision by the god Odin as he hung upside down and wounded for nine days on the World Tree Yggdrasil. There are three commonly known runic alphabets: the ‘elder’ and ‘younger’ Futhark (futhark being the transliteration of the first few letters of that alphabet), the Anglo-Saxon futhork, and the Danish ‘short twig’ or script alphabet.
